INSTRUCTIONAL

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in

the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the

law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.   1:1,2

Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be

still.  Selah.  Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

4:4,5

By the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.   17:4

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is

sure, making wise the simple.  The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the

heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.  The fear of

the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and

righteous altogether.  More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine

gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant

warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.   19:7-11

The meek will he guide in judgement: and the meek will he teach his way.   25:9

What man is he that feareth the LORD?  Him shall he teach in the way that he shall

the LORD.  What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may

see good?  Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.  Depart from

evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.   34:8-14

Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers

of iniquity.  For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green

herb.  Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily

thou shalt be fed.  Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the

desires of thine heart.  Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he

shall bring it to pass.  And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and

thy judgment as the noonday.  Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret

not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who

bringeth wicked devices to pass.  Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not

thyself in any wise to do evil.  For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait

upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.   37:1-9

poor and needy: rid them out the hand of the wicked.   82:3,4

and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.   85:8

Among the gods there is none like unto thee, 0 Lord.   86:8

His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.   91:4

Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they

are ever with me.   119:98

Through thy precepts I get understanding.   119:104

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

119:130

Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.   119:165

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.   126:5

Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD

keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.  It is vain for you to rise up early,
