ACTS OF GOD

Thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those

that rise up against them.   17:7

The LORD saveth his anointed.   20:6

The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell

therein.  For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

24:1,2

Thou hast brought up my soul from the grave.   30:3

Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth,

and girded me with gladness.   30:11

By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the

breath of his mouth.  He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he

layeth up the depth in storehouses.   33:6,7

He spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.   33:9

I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.   34:4

This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his

troubles.   34:6

0 LORD, thou preservest man and beast.   36:6

He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and

cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.      46:9

He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there

were many with me.   55:18

Thy right hand upholdeth me.   63:8

Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power: which

stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the

people.   65:6,7

Thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.  Thou visitest the

earth, and waterest it: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for

it.  Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof:

thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.  Thou

crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.  They drop upon

the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.  The

pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they

shout for joy, they also sing.   65:8-13

He turned the sea into dry land.   66:6

God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with

chains.   68:6

Thou, 0 God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.   68:10

Blessed be the LORD, who daily loadeth us with benefits.   68:19

God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.  Thou didst

divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the

waters.  Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat

to the people inhabiting the wilderness.  Thou didst cleave the fountain and the

flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers.   74:12-15

Thou hast prepared the light and the sun.  Thou hast set all the borders of the

earth: thou hast made summer and winter.   74:16,17

Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven.   76:8

God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth.   76:9

Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph.

77:15

He divided the sea, and caused them to pass through; and he made the waters to

stand as an heap.  In the daytime also he led them with a cloud, and all the night

with a light of fire.  He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as

out of the great depths.  He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused

waters to run down like rivers.   78:13-16

Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams

overflowed.   78:20

Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full.  He caused an east wind to

blow in the heaven: and by his power he brought in the south wind.  He rained flesh

also upon them as dust, and feathered fowls like as the sand of the sea: and he let

it fall in the midst of their camp, round about their habitations.  So they did eat,

and were well filled: for he gave them their own desire.   78:25-29

He sent divers sorts of flies among them, which devoured them; and frogs, which

destroyed them.  He gave also their increase unto the caterpiller, and their labour

unto the locust.  He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycomore trees with

frost.  He gave up their cattle also to the hail, and their flocks to hot thunderbolts.

He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble,

by sending evil angels among them.  He made a way to his anger; he spared not

their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence; and smote all the

firstborn in Egypt; the chief of their strength in the tabernacles of Ham.  But made

his own people to go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a

flock.  And he led them on safely, so that they feared not: but the sea

overwhelmed their enemies.  And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary,

even to this mountain, which his right hand had purchased.  He cast out the

heathen also before them, and divided them an inheritance by line, and made the

tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.   78:45-55

Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted

it.  Thou preparedst room before it and didst cause it to take deep root.   80:8,9

Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin.   85:2

Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest

them.  Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered

thine enemies with thy strong arm.   89:9,10

As for the world and the fullness thereof, thou hast founded them.  The north and

the south thou hast created them.   89:11

The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.   95:5

The LORD made the heavens.   96:5

His lightnings enlightened the world.   97:4

He hath done marvelous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him

the victory.  The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he

openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.  He hath remembered his mercy and his

truth toward the house of Israel.   98:1-3

Thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

99:4

It is he that hath made us.   100:3

Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of

thy hands.   102:25

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy

life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the

eagle's.  The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are

oppressed.   103:3-6

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from

us.   103:12

The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens.   103:19

Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens

like a curtain: who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh

the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind: who maketh his

angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire: who laid the foundations of the earth,

that it should not be removed for ever.  Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a

garment: the waters stood above the mountains.  At thy rebuke they fled; at the

voice of thy thunder they hasted away.  They go up by the mountains; they go

down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.  Thou hast

set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the

earth.  He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.  They

give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.  By them

shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the

branches.  He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the

fruit of thy works.  He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the

service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth; and wine that

maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which

strengtheneth man's heart.  The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of

Lebannon, which he hath planted; where the birds make their nests: as for the

stork, the fir trees are her house.  The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats;

and the rocks for the conies.  He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth

his going down.  Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the

forest do creep forth.  The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat

from God.  The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in

their dens.  Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.  0

LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is

full of thy riches.  So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping

innumerable, both small and great beasts.  There go the ships: there is that

leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.  These wait all upon thee; that

thou mayest give them their meat in due season.  That thou givest them they

gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.  Thou hidest thy face,

they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their

dust.  Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face

of the earth.   104:2-30

He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.

104:32

He called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.  He sent a

man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant.   105:16,17

He increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies. He

turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtly with his servants. He sent

Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.  They shewed his signs among

them, and wonders in the land of Ham.  He sent darkness, and made it dark; and

they rebelled not against his word.  He turned their waters into blood, and slew

their fish.  Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their

kings.  He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.

He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.  He smote their vines also

and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.  He spake, and the locusts

came, and caterpillars, and that without number, and did eat up all the herbs in

their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.  He smote also all the firstborn

in their land, the chief of all their strength.  He brought them forth also with silver

and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.  Egypt was glad

when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.  He spread a cloud for a

covering; and fire to give light in the night.  The people asked, and he brought

quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.  He opened the rock, and the

waters gushed out, they ran in the dry places like a river.  For he remembered his

holy promise, and Abraham his servant.  And he brought forth his people with joy,

and his chosen with gladness: and gave them the lands of the heathen: and they

inherited the labour of the people.   105:24-44

He saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be

known.  He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through

the depths, as through the wilderness.  And he saved them from the hand of him

that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.   106:9,10

O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.  Let

the redeemed say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; and

gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north,

and from the south.  They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found

no city to dwell in.  Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.  Then they cried

unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.  And

he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.  Oh

that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to

the children of men!  For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul

with goodness.  Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in

affliction and iron; because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned

the counsel of the most High: therefore he brought down their heart with labour;

they fell down, and there was none to help.  Then they cried unto the LORD in their

trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.  He brought them out of

darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.  Oh that men

would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children

of men!  For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.

Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of

death.  Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of

their distresses.  He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their

destructions.  Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his

wonderful works to the children of men!  And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of

thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.  They that go down to the sea in

ships, that do business in great waters; these see the works of the LORD, and his

wonders in the deep.  For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which

lifteth up the waves thereof.  They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to

the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.  They reel to and fro, and

stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end.  Then they cry unto the

LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distress.  He maketh the

storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.  Then are they glad because they

be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.  Oh that men would praise

the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!  Let

them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the

assembly of the elders.  He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry

ground into watersprings.  And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may

prepare a city for habitation; and sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may

yield fruits of increase.  He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly;

and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.  Again, they are minished and brought

low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.  He poureth contempt upon princes,

and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.  Yet setteth

he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.   107:1-41

He hath given meat unto them that fear him.   111:5

He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever.

111:9

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

that he may set him with princes of his people.   113:7,8

The God of Jacob; which turned the rock into a standing water; the flint into a

fountain of waters.   114:7,8

He has done whatever he pleased.   115:3

The LORD, which made heaven and earth.   121:2

The LORD hath done great things for us.   126:3

Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and

all deep places.  He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he

maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.  Who

smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.  Who sent tokens and wonders

into the midst of thee, 0 Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.  Who

smote great nations, and slew mighty kings; Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king

of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan: and gave their land for an heritage, an

heritage unto Israel his people.   135:6-12

0 give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever. 0 give

thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.  0 give thanks to the

Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.  To him who alone doeth great

wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever.  To him that by wisdom made the

heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever.  To him that stretched out the earth

above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever. To him that made great lights:

for his mercy endureth for ever: the sun to rule by day: for his mercy endureth for

ever: the moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endurerth for ever.  To him

that smote Egypt in their firstborn: for his mercy endureth for ever: and brought

out Israel from among them: for his mercy endureth for ever: with a strong hand,

and with a stretched out arm: for his mercy endureth for ever.  To him which

divided the Red sea into parts: for his mercy endureth for ever: and made Israel to

pass through the midst of it: for his mercy endureth for ever: but overthrew

Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy endureth for ever.  To him which

led his people through the wilderness: for his mercy endureth for ever. To him

which smote great kings: for his mercy endureth for ever: and slew famous kings:

for his mercy endureth for ever: Sihon king of the Amorites: for his mercy endureth

for ever: and Og the king of Bashan: for his mercy endureth for ever: and gave their

land for an heritage: for his mercy endureth for ever: even an heritage unto Israel

his servant: for his mercy endureth for ever.  Who remembered us in our low

estate: for his mercy endureth for ever: and hath redeemed us from our enemies:

for his mercy endureth for ever.  Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy

endureth for ever.  0 give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth

for ever.   136

In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength

in my soul.   138:3

Thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.   140:7

Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers

to fight.   144:1

The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.

145:14

Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.   145:16

God: which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth

truth for ever: which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to

the hungry.  The LORD looseth the prisoners: the LORD openeth the eyes of the

blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:

the LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the

way of the wicked he turneth upside down.   146:5-9

He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.  He telleth the

number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.  147:3,4

Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who

maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.  He giveth to the beast his food, and to

the young ravens which cry.   147:7-9

He hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within

thee.   147:13

He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.  He

giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.  He casteth forth his

ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?  He sendeth out his word, and

melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.  He sheweth his

word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.   147:15-19
